IEEE Partners with EMpact to Provide Online Products to Libraries in Parts of Eastern Europe, Central and South America, Mexico and South Africa
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A. – April 16, 2007 – IEEE, the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology, and EMpact Sales™ (EMpact), the publisher representation group within the EBSCO Information Services division, are pleased to announce a new distribution agreement. Under the agreement, EMpact will represent IEEE online products to libraries in parts of Eastern Europe, Central and South America, Mexico and South Africa. EMpact will work with libraries in these countries to promote IEEE online product offerings, including the IEEE/IET Electronic Library, IEEE All-Society Periodicals Package, IEEE Proceedings Order Plan, IEEE Enterprise, IEEE Power & Energy Library and the IEEE Computer Society Digital Library, through local sales representation, marketing and training. “IEEE is one of the leading publishers of the world’s technical literature in the areas of electrical engineering and computer science, and we are excited about becoming part of their global network for local representation and service, providing a positive user experience for our mutual customers,” said Sid McNeal Jr., vice president and general manager, EMpact.
