Index Islamicus™ Now Available via EBSCOhost®
EBSCO Publishing Adds to Growing Collection of Cultural Studies Resources

IPSWICH, Mass.January 19, 2007 As awareness of global cultures and events continues to expand at a rapid pace, so does the need for easy access to relevant information resources. In order to help satisfy this growing need, EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) is pleased to make available the Index Islamicus™ database via the EBSCOhost® interface. The release of this important database represents yet another step forward in EBSCO’s effort to broaden its collection of online resources supporting all areas of cultural study.

Index Islamicus, produced by Brill Academic Publishers, is an international bibliography of publications in European languages covering all aspects of Islam and the Muslim world. The database includes information pertaining to history, beliefs, societies, cultures, languages and literature. Index Islamicus includes material published by Western orientalists, social scientists and Muslims writing in European languages. The file contains indexing for 3,470 titles with coverage dating back to 1906.
