IPSWICH, Mass.January 19, 2007 With the recent publication of its Library Success book, EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) continues to add to the company’s growing set of resources designed to help libraries better serve their patrons. Fully titled Library Success: A Celebration of Library Innovation, Adaptation and Problem Solving, this book presents a collection of customer success stories from a variety of library types and covers a wide range of issues including Fundraising, Technology & eResource Management, Library Marketing, Partnership & Collaboration, and Performance Management & Evaluation. While this publication represents the collaborative efforts of many individuals, EBSCO would particularly like to acknowledge the contributions of editors Dr. Leslie Edmonds Holt and Dr. Glen Holt, whose expertise and dedication were invaluable to the completion of this project.

Libraries interested in the new Library Success book may request a copy by emailing EBSCO at customersuccess@epnet.com.

In addition to the Library Success book, EBSCO’s online Customer Success Center has just celebrated its first full year of providing service to library customers world-wide. The Customer Success Center features a collection of highly-useful resources for libraries including free databases; funding guides; success stories; marketing tools; success tools for librarians, teachers & students; as well as a list of suggested reading materials.

EBSCO’s free Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) database is also now one-year old. In the last year, users have launched over six million searches across the database. LISTA’s world-class bibliographic database provides coverage related to libraries and information management. With coverage dating back to the mid-1960s, it is the oldest continuously produced database covering the field of information science. LISTA is available for free to anyone interested in libraries and information management.

According to Stratton Lloyd, Vice President of Customer Satisfaction for EBSCO Publishing, “EBSCO is proud to be able to provide such an unparalleled and growing collection of free resources to benefit libraries and their patrons. I would like to thank all of the EBSCO customers who contributed stories of their particular achievements to the Library Success book. We hope that many other libraries can benefit directly from the sharing of such valuable information.”
