I have a background in Marketing, having graduated with a degree in Marketing and pursued a master’s degree in Strategic Management. Growing up in a family deeply committed to the publishing industry, I consider myself fortunate to have joined the EBSCO Information Services team in the Middle East & North Africa region nearly seven years ago.
What is your current position at EBSCO?
Currently, I hold the position of Marketing Manager for EBSCO Information Services in the Middle East & North Africa region. In this role, I provide support to the regional sales team by tailoring marketing activities that align with their sales targets and objectives. My main focus is to ensure that our marketing efforts effectively meet the needs and goals of the team.
What do you enjoy about your job?
Marketing is a field that thrives on creativity and the ability to effectively communicate products or services to the right audience using compelling messaging and visuals. Personally, I find marketing to be an intriguing profession. I am passionate about the work I do, particularly in how we transform product details and information into a captivating and attention-grabbing format.
What tips do you suggest for marketing libraries across the region?
When it comes to marketing libraries, it is essential to focus on both optimizing usage and creating impactful marketing materials. Here are a few tips:
- Clearly communicate the value and benefits of utilizing the library's resources, such as access to a wide range of books, academic journals and research databases.
- Design visually appealing welcome packs and brochures that showcase the unique offerings of the library.
- Tailor the marketing materials to different user groups, ensuring they understand how the library can cater to their specific needs.
- Utilize digital marketing channels, such as social media and email campaigns, to reach a broader audience and generate interest.
