One of my favorite parts of being LibraryAware’s product manager is being able to tell you about a new feature that will save you time and make your job easier, and today I get to tell you about two big enhancements to LibraryAware’s drag and drop editor.
Widget slides have moved to the drag and drop editor
In addition to the print items in the drag and drop editor, you can create slides for your website widgets there, too. LibraryAware’s design team has created hundreds of slide templates in the drag and drop editor, in many different sizes, that you can use to promote your events, services, new book and movie titles, and much more.
If you’re not currently using LibraryAware’s widget carousels to help you promote all that you do, check out our information and tutorials.
To give you an idea of how others are using widgets, here’s a beautiful Summer Reading event example from Greenwood County Library System.
And this widget example from Ramara Township Public Library shows patrons a really great deal on library-branded earbuds.
Widgets let you share all sorts of wonderful information with your patrons and website visitors. With fresh designs and easier customization in the drag and drop editor, creating widgets is now faster than ever.
Publish directly from the drag and drop editor
You can publish any drag and drop editor item to your social media accounts, your catalog, or one of your website widget carousels without ever leaving the editor. Just click on the publish icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen, between SAVE and the print icon, and choose where you’d like to share your creation. You’ll then be prompted to a screen where you can finalize publishing details, like scheduling and links. This feature was launched in late May 2019, so you can use it to share any bookmark, flyer, poster, rack card, or shelf signage created in the drag and drop editor.
I really hope these updates help you, and we welcome your feedback any time at libraryaware@ebsco.com.
