As we designed the upgraded version of NoveList Select, we heard from many of you that Accelerated Reader (AR) information was important to your library and community. With your needs in mind, we’re pleased to introduce Accelerated Reader as the newest feature of NoveList Select for Catalog.
What is Accelerated Reader?
Accelerated Reader includes the Interest Level (IL) assigned to a book, as well as the Book Level (BL). The IL roughly corresponds to grade level appropriateness while the BL is a measure of text difficulty. Not only will patrons be able to see the Accelerated Reader information assigned to a book, but they will also be able to browse your catalog for more books at the right book level and interest level.
How can you get it in your catalog?
The new Accelerated Reader information is only available in the newest version of NoveList Select.
My library has already upgraded to the newest version. How do I get AR added?
If you have the newest version of Select, you don’t need to do anything. AR will be added automatically. It may take a couple weeks for us to update all the profiles, but you should see AR in your catalog soon.
My library hasn’t upgraded to the newest version. How do I upgrade?
Upgrading is easy and included in your existing subscription. Check out our help pages to learn more. When you’re ready to make the switch, simply email novelistselectsupport@ebsco.com with a subject of “Please upgrade our Novelist Select.” The new AR card will be included.
