Librarians specialize in books, but some of the best readers' advisory inspiration can be found beyond the printed page. Movies, music, TV, games, podcasts -- pop culture permeates our lives.
Start the right conversations and you can discover what your patrons love (and what they’d love to see in your library). Let NoveList Book Squad librarians Rebecca Honeycutt and Autumn Winters show you how fandom can drive deeper engagement at the library, supercharging your readers’ advisory, circulation, and programming.

The Panelists
Rebecca Honeycutt is a former teen librarian who now works as a NextReads Bibliographer at NoveList. She’s always happy to talk about two of her favorite things: fandom and readers’ advisory. Her other faves include Christian Robinson's artwork and any iteration of Sherlock Holmes. She proudly identifies as a Hufflepuff.
Autumn Winters has been an Editor/Bibliographer at NoveList since 2013. She has a dozen years of experience serving teens and adults at the public library. Autumn loves helping readers find books that reflect their lived experiences and interests, whatever they may be. Personally, she is a big fan of horror movies and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
