Panelists:
John Andrews is the Internet Services Librarian for Washoe County Library System in Reno, Nevada. After 10+ years of front-line public service, he transitioned in 2014 to oversee the Digital Branch, now the library's busiest "location." John oversees all web-based services for the public and helps to coordinate print, digital, and social media marketing efforts as part of the library's Marketing and Communications team.
John Chrastka is a founder and executive director of EveryLibrary, the first Super PAC for libraries, and the EveryLibrary Institute, a nonprofit research and training organization focused on the future of library funding. Since 2012, EveryLibrary has provided pro-bono support to 97 library communities with ballot measures and tax referendum, helping win over $320 million in stable tax funding. He is a former Board President of the Berwyn (IL) Public Library and RAILS, the Reaching Across Illinois Libraries System.
Tommy Hardin has over two decades of experience working in public and academic libraries. He joined Mid-Continent Public Library in Independence, MO, in 2008 and has served as the Online Coordinator since 2010, managing multiple social media platforms and coordinating placement of promotional messages on mymcpl.org, which attracts more than 4 million visits per year. He works with 31 MCPL branches on optimizing the development of their audiences and promoting best practices.
Caleigh Haworth is the Training & Communications Coordinator at Marigold Library System in Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, where she provides training to member library staff in the use of eResources and other technologies. She also develops and delivers library programs, creates online content for Marigold websites and social media, and develops communications and marketing materials to promote library services.
Moderator: Kathy Lussier, APR, is the Engagement Manager for NoveList where she helps libraries reach readers and promote their programs, services, and collections in strategic ways. Kathy draws on her experience leading the marketing and community relations department at a large library system, her work in corporate and government communications, and as a member of the media, in her consultations with library marketing teams.
