Do you ever need to find that book that was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered recently? Or the latest celeb memoir mentioned on Jimmy Kimmel. You’re in luck! Check out our Media Mentions feature. With this, we are highlighting books that have been featured recently in the media – outlets like Fresh Air, Good Morning America, Meet the Press, Real Time with Bill Maher, and The Daily Show!
You can see the complete list of shows and outlets on our advanced search page, or try a field code search, such as MM “HBO” (for outlet) or MM “CBS The Late Show” (for the program).
So, what can you do with Media Mentions?
- Create a book list or display, possibly focusing on the show, outlet, or type of show (What about a “Sunday Sleep-in” highlighting books featured on Sunday news shows?).
- Pull together all of the hot celebrity memoirs as the celebs make the talk show circuit rounds (Use the search: MA Y AND GN Memoirs).
- Use it to answer the question “I’m looking for this new book that was talked about on Stephen Colbert – I can’t remember what it is called... Something like… hmmm... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”
Some things of note:
- We are tracking US and Canadian national media outlets.
- Our media mentions information dates back to January 2019.
- We add new media mentions weekly and do include current and forthcoming mentions.
- We only list the month of a mention and not the day. If you are interested in only seeing recent mentions, try searching MM Jun 2021 (FYI, we use three-letter abbreviations for months).
