Christine manages cataloging and collection development for series titles, Urban fiction, and Australian authors, scouring journals, author pages, and book industry news to make sure we are up to date with your library’s catalog. It’s a fun mix that keeps her jumping from James Patterson to Ashley and Jaquavis, all the way over to Geraldine Brooks. She has also served on the Notable Books committee.
After moving into and out of a third-story apartment, Christine has fully embraced ebooks as the wave of the future. She loves classics and literary fiction, as any erstwhile English major would, but also loves fantasy books with lots of maps — you know the kind — and enjoys bouncing around genres. Christine likes complicated, some might say unlikeable, characters, unreliable narrators, and twisty, compelling plots. When she’s not reading, she’s telling strangers at the supermarket checkout line stories about her dogs, walking in the woods, and thinking up third things to add to lists.
