Danette works with developers and business stakeholders to write user stories for new features and enhancements that help librarians serve their patrons. She has spent much of her career in tech, but one of her first jobs was at a California public library, which ignited the library flame for her! She pursued an MLIS degree while working in product roles and loves that she is in a position that merges her passion for libraries and literacy with her years of experience in agile product development.
Danette's favorite book as a kid was Little Women. Today you'll find her reading gentle reads, cozy mysteries, and historical fiction. When she's not working or hanging with her three kiddos, you might find her building lego sets, crafting greeting cards (and sending love letters to strangers), creating funny vinyl stickers, cultivating her succulent garden, or snapping photos.
