ALIA Information Online 2023 Recap: A Look at Our Latest Innovations
The ALIA Information Online Conference is one of the premier events for information professionals in Australia, offering a platform to discuss the latest trends in the industry. This year's conference was no exception, with a wide range of topics discussed by leading experts in the field as well as a few exciting updates from EBSCO.
One of the key trends discussed at the conference was the importance of collaboration and partnerships in the information industry. The collaboration includes bringing people and teams together to solve complex problems (Panel Discussion-Power of Collaboration) This includes working with other organizations to share information and resources, as well as partnering with technology companies to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Another theme that popped up was around user-centered services. Libraries and information centers are increasingly focusing on providing user-centered services. This means designing services and resources that meet the needs of users, considering their preferences and feedback as well as building a strong community. At EBSCO, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to sponsor this year's ALIA Information Online Conference. At the conference, we had the pleasure of providing an update on our new books ordering platform.
We would like to hear your suggestions for our new books ordering platform by visiting the EBSCO Ideas Portal . This enables you to share any ideas you have for GOBI, ECM or the upcoming new books ordering platform, as well as vote and comment on any submitted ideas.

We were also excited to discuss the evolution of BIBFRAME and our latest solution BiblioGraph, a new framework for organizing and sharing bibliographic data. BIBFRAME is designed to modernize legacy MARC format and has the potential to revolutionize the way information professionals organise and share information. As a company committed to collaboration and innovation, we are thrilled to integrate BIBFRAME into our platforms, making it even easier for our clients to work together and share information.
One of the key trends that we discussed at the conference was the increasing importance of analytics in the information industry. As more and more information become available online, it is critical organizations have the tools they need to analyse and interpret this data. ALIA Online was a good platform to announce the latest updates the modern library analytics platform, Panorama, including Read and Publish reporting. On top of this we updated attendees on FOLIO – the latest LSP in the market.
