An Overview of APA Databases on the New EBSCOhost Interface
Key highlights include:
- Peer Review Marking: All peer-reviewed content is clearly marked.
- Enhanced Search Results: Users can now view the entire abstract directly on the search results page and see all subjects associated with a document.
- Interactive Features: Clicking on a subject or author launches a new search.
- Filters and Tools: Users can apply filters for full text and peer-reviewed content, which are now sticky and clearly indicated. Additional tools include citation options, clipboard copying, project additions, email sharing, link creation, and downloading options.
- APA Thesaurus: The APA Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms is integrated, allowing users to add terms to their search and utilize the explode function for broader searches.
- Project Management: Users can manage projects, save searches, articles, and records.
New Terms and Changes in the Controlled Vocabulary
In June, APA added 96 new terms to its Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms to provide more effective searching on current topics, including employment, education and diversity. This Thesaurus update also includes 61 new cross-referenced terms, and 122 revised scope notes.
New Videos Added to APA PsycTherapy®
APA PsycTherapy, the streaming video training and reference collection now includes the entire APA Psychotherapy Video Series and additional titles previously available only via DVD. Plus, in 2024, twenty-three videos were added covering:
