IPSWICH, Mass. – March 17, 2016 - EBSCO Health, a leading provider of clinical decision support solutions, today announced two additions to its DynaMed senior leadership team. Dr. Peter Oettgen assumed the role of DynaMed Editor in Chief and Dr. Kevin Loughlin was appointed Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Brian Alper, the founder of DynaMed, previously held those positions and will continue to serve as VP of Innovations and EBM Development for EBSCO Health.
“DynaMed has driven significant innovation in clinical decision support for more than 20 years and with the launch of DynaMed Plus™ in 2015, we further aligned DynaMed with the way a physician works,” said Betsy Jones, Senior Vice President of Medical Product Management, EBSCO Health. “Peter and Kevin were instrumental in driving that innovation by helping to broaden our depth of content and clinical application while maintaining the high quality of our evidence-based approach our users expect. We are confident with their increased roles, Dr. Oettgen and Dr. Loughlin will continue to build DynaMed’s tradition of being the most trusted resource for physicians by providing them with the information necessary to provide point-of care decision support in a way that works for them.”
