IPSWICH, Mass. — July 24, 2014 — Dr. Peter Oettgen, a member of the Cardiology Division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, is the new Deputy Editor of Cardiology for DynaMed™. Dr. Oettgen brings his considerable experience in the field to the evidence-based, clinical reference tool from EBSCO Health.
Dr. Oettgen received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed his residency at Tufts New England Medical Center. He is the Director of Preventative Cardiology and the Cardiovascular Health and Lipid Center at Beth Israel Deaconess. His research focus is in vascular inflammation and vascular development and he has earned a Physician Scientist Award from the National Institutes of Health and an Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association.
As the deputy editor, Dr. Oettgen oversees the cardiology content for DynaMed, and is responsible for providing the most useful information to doctors and other healthcare professionals at the point of care. He supervises a team of scientific and clinical writers and editors along with external peer reviewers to provide the most current, valid, relevant and convenient content and resources across cardiology.
