EBSCO Discovery Service™ Now Has Hosted Curriculum Builder™ LMS Plugin

Tool Brings Digital Resources Directly into the Online Learning Environment

IPSWICH, Mass.June 26, 2014 — Course reading lists can now be created and managed directly from a Learning Management System (LMS) with the hosted Curriculum Builder LMS plugin for EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS). Curriculum Builder is a cost-effective, easy way to bring the world of quality database, e-books and other digital resources from the library’s discovery system directly into the online learning environment.

Curriculum Builder can be entirely hosted by EBSCO Information Services so it can be implemented and integrated with EDS quickly. Curriculum Builder is an LTI Tool Provider 1.0 and is compatible with any LMS system that is LTI compliant, including Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Desire2Learn and more.

Educators search their library’s content from within the LMS and simply click “Add to Reading List” to save the selection. Curriculum Builder allows educators to annotate reading list items and copy other reading lists created at their institution. Curriculum Builder also gives users the ability to review statistics, including which courses and educators are using the Curriculum Builder and how many readings are included.
