IPSWICH, Mass. — January 22, 2019 — EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Stacks (Stacks) are now accepting applications for the Stacks Academic Library Website Makeover Contest. One winner will receive a free three-year library website makeover, including a consultation with Stacks to assess the library website needs, a three-year subscription to the Stacks platform and three years of customer support. Entries must be received by April 2, 2019.
Stacks, a hosted, turnkey web content management system designed specifically for libraries, will work with the winning applicant to create a website that offers a relevant and robust user experience tailored for their students’ and administrators’ needs. As part of their submission, entrants are asked to include information about the challenges that students and library administrators face with their current library website.
President and CEO of Stacks Inc., Kristin Delwo, says the award will help a qualified academic library create a powerful and effective website for its students. "Addressing the wide range of issues academic librarians face as they seek to deliver resources and services to researchers is a great way for us to showcase how Stacks can make a difference for librarians and their end users. I am most interested to see the variety of challenges librarians identify and match them up with solutions from Stacks."
EBSCO Vice President of SaaS Strategy Tamir Borensztajn says Stacks is a great way to pull together resources and address service needs. “As discovery services invite a less siloed approach to content and as libraries compete with the online searching expectations of their users, Stacks is able to provide a turnkey solution that drives usage and improves the user experience.”
The Stacks Academic Library Website Makeover Contest ran from January 22, 2019 through April 2, 2019.
