IPSWICH, Mass. — March 21, 2018 — GOBI® Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI Library Solutions) has partnered with Capita to offer a fully integrated and automated acquisitions workflow solution. The new partnership provides academic libraries using the Capita Library Management System (LMS) with seamless access to GOBI®, the leading web-based acquisitions tool for finding, ordering and managing e-books and print books for libraries.
The partnership with Capita allows GOBI customers in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland, to access the entire suite of GOBI acquisitions tools and millions of e-books and print books available in GOBI. With the integration, the selection and purchase process begins in the GOBI workflow, and orders are seamlessly pushed to Capita for review. Once approved, orders are automatically returned to GOBI for completion, and invoices are shared electronically via the Capita Gateway Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Susan Wignall, Business Development Manager at Capita, says, “We are delighted to be working with GOBI Library Solutions. This new and exciting partnership will provide secure automated processes for seamless Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transmissions.
