~ Database Offers Trusted Nursing and Allied Health Content ~

IPSWICH, Mass. — February 18, 2021 — The National Health Service Wales (NHS Wales) Informatics Service has made EBSCO Health Care’s CINAHL® Plus with Full Text available to all NHS Wales staff via the NHS Wales e-Library for Health. CINAHL Plus with Full Text is a comprehensive research database, providing full text for nursing and allied health journals indexed in CINAHL Plus.

CINAHL is the world’s premier nursing and allied health database, including more than 7,000,000 records and indexing more than 5,000 clinical journals. It is an indispensable resource for nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, allowing health care professionals to stay current with research, evidence and therapeutic advances.

NHS Wales is making CINAHL Plus with Full Text available as part of its e-Library for Health, which is aimed at supporting effective health care delivery by providing evidence-based, relevant, timely information to support NHS Wales. It is accessible by more than 92,000 staff, contract holders, including community pharmacists, dentists and hospice workers, students on placement and departments of Welsh Government.

NHS Wales Health Service Librarian John Dunkley-Williams says that extending access of CINAHL Plus Full Text will help meet the needs of the institution’s health care professionals. “Our service is committed to ending inequity of access and ensuring that the latest research is available to health professionals working in Wales, regardless of location or institutional affiliation.”
