Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I am dually certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and a Pediatric Mental Health Specialist (PMHS). My nursing experience has been predominantly in pediatric primary care. I have spent most of my nursing career working with rural families and teaching pediatrics at the undergraduate and graduate level. I regularly travel to Haiti for mission work and research.
Q. What did you do prior to joining EBSCO’s Nursing and Allied Health Editorial Leadership Team?
A. I have been in clinical practice for more than 20 years and 11 years in academia, teaching graduate-level nursing courses.
Q. What inspired you to become a healthcare professional?
A. My mother was a critical care nurse and encouraged me to consider the nurse practitioner role. My desire was always to work with vulnerable populations.

Q. What drew you to EBSCO and our Nursing and Allied Health Editorial Leadership Team?
A. I was drawn to EBSCO by the desire to merge my love for pediatric practice and clinical research and providing evidence-based guidance for clinicians at the point of care.
Q. What is your favorite part of your job?
A. My favorite part of my role at EBSCO is critiquing current literature and staying updated on new pediatric guidelines for clinical practice.
Q. What is your professional passion as it relates to healthcare?
A. I am passionate about the provision of high-quality, family-centered care, health education for families, and reducing health disparities for vulnerable populations.
