She is a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
She is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine and a member of the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators. She received her undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. She completed her emergency medicine residency training at Stanford University Medical Center.
