Thomas Hilts, DO, FAAFP

Thomas Hilts, DO, FAAFP is a Deputy Editor on DynaMed’s Systematic Literature Surveillance team and Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids.  He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. 

As a member of the faculty of the Grand Rapids Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Hilts coordinates the Evidence-Based Medicine curriculum with a focus on teaching residents and medical students about the use of electronic clinical knowledge resources at the point-of-care.  He has been a practicing family physician with Mercy Health Physician Partners since 2001 in Grand Rapids and prior to that with the United States Army in Fairbanks, Alaska.  Dr. Hilts graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993 and completed his residency at the Grand Rapids Family Medicine Residency program in 1997.
