Katharine DeGeorge, MD, MS
Katharine DeGeorge, MD, MS is the Senior Deputy Editor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, and Gastroenterology at DynaMed and an Associate Professor in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Kate is board certified from the American Board of Family Medicine. She graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 2009 and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2013. She subsequently joined the academic faculty at UVA and took on leadership positions in both the residency program and faculty development fellowship. She also began working at DynaMed in 2014 as a clinical editor.
Kate directs the evidence-based medicine curriculum for the residency, faculty development fellowship, and medical student clerkship in family medicine at UVA. She practices clinically in Charlottesville, Virginia, where among other clinical and teaching awards she was voted “Best of C-Ville: General Practitioner” from 2015-2019.
